Dr. Juber makes the whole process easy. From no referral needed, to online appointments from anywhere in NZ, I have been very happy with my treatment thus far. Living in Wairoa, being able to attend appointments online instead of travelling has saved me a lot of time and money. I cannot recommend Dermatology Hawke’s Bay and Dr. Juber Hafiji more. I live in Christchurch and was desperate to find treatment for Alopecia Areata as quickly as possible before it progressed further. I could not find a doctor or dermatologist locally with both patient capacity and or ability to assist and didn’t know where to turn next.
Out of desperation I contacted Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, prepared to fly up for treatment. I called the practice and spoke with Lorna, who was very caring and helpful. I was booked in for a virtual consultation. The virtual consultation process was very straight forward and easy, with Dr. Juber able to access photographs I had provided ahead of my appointment. He was extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, easy to talk to and really listened. His holistic approach to all components of care and recovery was fantastic and I now have an all-encompassing treatment plan.
While I would have been happy to fly to see him, it was wonderful to be able to get such comprehensive care and follow up remotely. I finally feel like I am getting the help I needed and am seeing results already. Thank you so much!

Dr. Juber Hafiji is truly world class. He identified an early-stage melanoma on my wife – a diagnosis that quite literally saved her life. His expertise, professionalism and compassionate care were evident from the first consultation. He now is also looking after our daughter’s skin as she navigates her teenage years. He has made a real difference with her skin health.

I live in Auckland and the wait times to see a dermatologist up here are insane. I was able to see Dr. Juber within a week of enquiring, and he also offers virtual appointments if you’re unable to travel to the Bay. In terms of service, Dr. Juber is great and has helped me solve my skin issues. He’s very kind and understanding in his approach which is important when you’re dealing with pesky skin conditions. The reception team are also lovely and very helpful, unlike a lot of Auckland clinics I’ve reached out to. Also reasonably priced – highly recommend 🙂

I live in Nelson and am 78 years old. I am so pleased to have become a patient of Dr. Juber. He is a highly skilled professional with a very personable manner.
For a couple of years, I have been trying to resolve a rash that has impacted my ability to bike, which is something I love to do. I was heading to Pueora Forest Timbertrail, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to visit a dermatologist somewhere in the lower North Island and I was lucky enough to discover Dr. Juber in Havelock North.
I appreciated the way that Dr. Juber took a broad interest in me and my outdoor lifestyle, not just my rash. He demonstrated a fine judgement between professional recommendations and patient practicalities as a cyclist. After one site appointment and two virtual appointments, I can happily say that my rash is very much under control and Dr. Juber has now referred me back to my Nelson GP should any further treatment prove necessary. I unreservedly recommend Dr. Juber.
