How does the Ultraformer III work?
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) delivers concentrated waves of energy into specific layers of tissue. This provides long lasting tightening and lifting by targeting the SMAS layer and stimulating contraction of the tissue to provide a more youthful appearance. Patients can return to normal activity post treatment with no downtime, unlike with surgery or threads.
What will I experience during and after the Ultraformer treatment?
During the energy delivery, patients may feel slight discomfort which varies in individuals and is only temporary. Patients may experience redness and tightening in the treated area. Tightening usually subsides over the next week, while the redness dissipates within a few hours.
How long will a treatment session take?
Treatments can take anywhere from 20 – 120 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
How many treatments will I need?
Results vary from patient to patient. Best results can be seen at 12 weeks, with ongoing improvements for 6 months, and lasting for 12 months or longer. Our registered dermatology nurses will recommend a treatment plan that is right for you.
