Dr Juber Hafiji is a fully accredited UK-trained specialist dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon (Cambridge University Hospital (UK); American College of Mohs Surgery).
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK); Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and Fellow of the New Zealand Dermatological Society.

At Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, Mohs micrographic surgery is performed by Dr Juber Hafiji, one of only a handful of American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) accredited surgeons in New Zealand.
Mohs surgery is considered the gold standard for certain skin cancers because it ensures complete removal of the cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.
Unlike standard excisional surgery, where only around 1% of tissue is examined, Mohs evaluates 100% of the tissue under the microscope, layer by layer, during your procedure.
This precision maximises cure rates while minimising scarring, often meaning only one procedure is required. For our patients, it provides peace of mind knowing their treatment is both effective and meticulous.
