Pricing
We supply goods and services in New Zealand.  Therefore, all goods and services on our website are advertised in New Zealand dollars and include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.  We reserve the right to change advertised prices at any time.

Quotes
Quotes for all services (medical, surgical, appearance medicine) will be provided at the time of your consultation. The quotes are valid for one month from the date of your consultation. All quotes are in New Zealand dollars inclusive of GST.

Payment policy – consultations, treatments and products
All invoices must be settled on the day of your appointment at reception. Some services such as repeat prescriptions will require pre-payment. If you are covered by Southern Cross insurance, we will submit your claim online on your behalf as part of our agreed affiliated provider contract. Any shortfall in your cover will need to be settled at reception on the day.

Any other invoices sent to you by Dermatology Hawke’s Bay must be settled within 7 days of the invoice date.

Appointments
Fees are dependent upon the nature of the service.  Additional procedures undertaken at your appointment will incur a supplementary fee, which you will be advised of during your consultation.

We are an affiliated Southern Cross provider. If you are a Southern Cross member, you can use your insurance to see us. If your insurance is declined, you will be charged as per our normal rates for non-Southern Cross members.

Appearance medicine consultations

Appearance medicine consultations with registered nurses incur a $50 fee.  If you proceed with an appearance medicine service, the consultation fee will be redeemable towards the service.

Deposit payment for surgery
A deposit is due 7 working days prior to your scheduled surgery. We reserve the right to cancel your surgery if payment hasn’t been received and cleared prior to your surgery date.

Cancellation policy of consultations & non-surgical treatments
Cancellation of consultations and non-surgical treatments, within 24 hours of the appointment, will incur a $75 non-attendance fee. Non-attendance may be charged at full price.

Cancellation policy for surgical treatments
Cancellation of surgical treatments, with less than 7 day’s notice of the appointment, will incur an 80% cancellation fee. Non-attendance may be charged at full price.

Default of payment and debt recovery by EC Credit Control
In consideration of us agreeing to provide services, the patient grants a security interest in all of its obligations under these terms and conditions with regards to payments of invoices.

If the invoice is not paid within 7 days, or timeframe agreed with us, we will transfer the debt to EC Credit Control who will recover the payment from the patient.  Any debt recovery charges will be borne by the patient (including but not limited to internal administration fees, legal costs, collection agency costs and bank dishonour fees).

The patient shall not be entitled to off-set against, or deduct from the price, any sums owed, or claimed to be owed, to the patient by us, nor to withhold payment of any invoice because part of that invoice is in dispute with their insurance provider.

Upon agreeing to these terms and conditions in writing, the patient acknowledges and agrees that the terms and conditions constitute a security agreement for the purposes of the Personal Property Securities Act 1999 (PPSA).
